Charging in EKOEN and at home - know the difference
The first thing you think about when deciding on an electric car is the availability of charging infrastructure. By analogy to petrol stations (those with hydrocarbon fuels), you expect similar comfort. That's why it matters what electric car drivers need, there are multi-station, fast and convenient charging stations for electric cars.
Electromobility for all
If electric cars are to be used universally, their users cannot be limited to owners of garages or electrical sockets outside the house. All those who do not have private parking spaces need an accessible, efficient and an affordable vehicle charging service. Exactly as EKOEN stations offer.
Charging AC at home takes time
The longer the range of the car, the bigger the battery. As a result, charging takes a long time. Currently, individual car models are equipped with different battery sizes and it is difficult to indicate a single, universal AC charging time. In addition, home electric sockets, especially garage sockets, are available in several versions with different power ratings - 2.4 kW; 3.7 kW; 7.7 kW; 11 kW (3-phase); 22 kW (3-phase). Therefore several extreme charging times are given.
Cars with a long range (with a large battery) such as the Jaguar I-Pace, Hyundai Kona EV, Tesla Models S or X need 7 to 48 hours to fully recharge at home. The exact charging time depends on the power of the socket in your garage. However, in extreme cases, recharging the battery may take for two days! At the EKOEN station, exactly the same car models, each one separately and at the same time, will recharge their batteries to the full in up to 45 minutes.
For electric vehicles with a smaller range (i.e. with a smaller battery), e.g. Nissan Leaf, BMW i3, Hyundai Ioniq take 4 to 19 hours to recharge at home from the AC socket. The same car models at an EKOEN station will spend up to 40 minutes before they leave. with a full battery.
Charging at home will always be the cheapest way to top up your electric car battery. First of all because building a DC fast charging infrastructure is always more expensive than using an electrical outlet in your garage. However, this is not a solution available to everyone and then it is difficult to plan your trip. For all those who are unable or unwilling to recharge their electric cars at home, EKOEN stations offer a reliable, fastest and most affordable charging service.
Charging at home or at an EKOEN station?
How is the comfort of charging at home different from using EKOEN? It takes 30 to 45 minutes to charge the battery of an electric car at a station that can operate up to five vehicles at the same time. At the same time, EKOEN offers each of them the full power with which the car battery is able to operate.
EKOEN is available all the time - 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Like home!
